THREADS OF KINDNESS
Threads of Kindness is a parent-sponsored program whose mission is to provide clothing, shoes, and other necessary items to children in need at schools in the Stevens Point area. Each school will have a group of volunteers who are ready to donate the items when needed. New or gently used clothing will be accepted. All undergarments and socks MUST be new.
Needs are identified by the teachers and staff then relayed to each school's contact person. Children's names are never given to Threads of Kindness volunteers. We look forward to being able to serve the needs of our great schools!
Threads of Kindness contact people per school:
Roosevelt: Teresa Wahl
Washington: Cheryl Geske
Ben Franklin Junior High: Sarah Nilles
PJ Jacobs Junior High: Taylor Holzem
We are looking for more volunteers at this time. If you are willing to be on the e-mail distribution list for your school please inform your school's contact.
If you are a parent and are in need of clothing or other items, please contact your school directly and they will be happy to help.
For more information please contact the Threads of Kindness District Coordinator, Teresa Wahl at Roosevelt or McDill Schools.
